Instagram Live Meal Support || Thursdays at Noon PST

Led by dietitian Gloria Williamson, MS, RDN on our Instagram @Your_Life_Nutrition.

All are welcome to join us on Instagram live for #hyggemealsupport along with therapist, Jackie Shapin and Your Life Nutrition dietitians, at 12-12:45pm PST the first Thursday of the month from our Your Life Nutrition IG account.

This meal support group started in March 2020 having grown from a revolutionary style of meal support developed by the COVID-19 Eating Support founders. Once that IG account ended in March 2021, Jackie and Gloria were committed to continuing to create this meal support community for people struggling with their relationships with body and food. It is a warm environment to receive meal support and some silly distraction centered around caring conversation and connection. This is a gender, size and race inclusive space and includes participants from around the world.

Duration: Ongoing

The Next Chapter || In person at the YLN office or virtual

Led by dietitian, Nancy King, MS, RDN.

The Next Chapter is a small group (4-6 participants) for the woman near or over 40 who:

  • Has been dealing with eating problems for quite some time and feels exhausted from it

  • Recognizes that dieting hasn’t brought the results mentally, physically, and emotionally  they were hoping for

  • Is curious about, even longing for a different path to follow other than dieting

  • Values support and connection from a small group of like-minded women

In this group you will continue to explore new ways to think about and practice self-care, self-confidence, and self expression in relation to eating, body size and shape, movement, aging, and health.

You will have the opportunity to review where you are with grocery shopping, meal-planning, running out of stuff to wear, eating out, ordering in, eating variety, food routines, rituals, fitness, exercise, appearance, rules, beliefs and myths. Guidance and support are here for you to try out something new, if you so choose, then tailor it to your life -- welcome it as a life-affirming and life-giving practice.

Nancy King, MS, RDN, is the founder of Your Life Nutrition and is a nationally recognized pioneer and expert in eating disorder care and moving away from dieting. She is in her 60s and brings some lived experience and perspective to this group.
